Welcome to Greece!!

My blog topic is Greece, and I chose it because I find ancient and modern day Greece really interesting, though my knowledge of it lacks. I thought choosing to research about Greece would a fun and easy way to increase my knowledge. Greece is located at the southern Europe and east of the Mediterranean Sea.  The Mediterranean Sea greatly influences the food people in Greece eat, considering it is one of their greatest food sources. Greece goes way way way back in world history.  It is best known for its Greek mythology and the Olympics. However, it is also well known for its delicious food! First off, Greece loves their olives. The people use an almost sinful amount of olives in their meals. The Greeks love their olive oil almost as much as the Italians love their cheese. Greek is also one of the most healthiest foods in the entire world. Foods such as hummus, salads, yogurt, pork, and various fruit and vegetables are extremely popular.  It is common for the Greeks to share large meals with friends and family.

  1. I think Greece is a good topic because not a lot of people know much about it, including myself. In this post, you did a great job talking about the history and where they get their food from.

  2. I did not know that Greeks love olives. I also was not aware that the location of Greece has an influence on the food just like it does in my culture! I definitely learned some new information
