Japan post #1

Hello! My name is Allie Hogstrom and I will be doing my project on the country of Japan! Japan is actually a country I know a lot about! There are a lot of ways that Japan is different from us. Their school system, holidays, fashion, language, and of course, the food they eat. 

Something Japan is best know for is their kimonos, which means, "something one wears." They also are known for wearing white makeup on their faces, which is called, "geisha," which they wear during festivals, ceremonies, weddings, and other events. 

Their food is definitely something that is well known. Actually,  there is such a large variation of foods that so many Japanese don't even know what to name all the different varieties of seaweed, mushrooms and fish that they sell!
