Japan food blog post #4

Japan is actually an insanely healthy country due to their diet. Their large variety of vegetables, meats, fish, etc, makes them able to stay very healthy and at a slim weight. Also, they are usually destined to live longer due to it. It also gives them ability to live their long life disability-free. Unlike people in America, whose average years are usually from 75-80 years, Japan's rate is from 79-86 years. Also, America suffers from a large rate in obesity due to our diets, unlike Japan.
One recipe that Japan uses to keep themselves healthy and happy is the famous Niku Jaga (Japanese Beef Stew in a Crockpot), which consists of healthy ingredients such as beef, white onions, potatoes, and baby carrots.
I definitely admit that our American diet, including mine, needs to be a lot healthier. At the rate we are going, obesity will most likely only increase in our country.
I have seen that in the novel that the foods that Tita creates are recipes that truly benefit their health physically and emotionally. Every dish she makes always seem to make everyone happy, not to mention she has very many recipes to help cure specific injuries such as burns and stomach pains. I would truly love to try all of her dishes!
